Fig pickles
Yield: 1 Batch
Ingredients:
- 1 c Water Pickling spice to include Cloves and cinnamon (whole)
- 6 c Sugar
- 1 c Vinegar COVER 3 quarts figs with 2 quarts boiling water and allow to stand 5 minutes. Make syrup out of above ingredents (spices should be in a bag made of cheesecloth. Drain figs. Boil in syrup 3 consecutive days
- 10 minutes each day
Instructions:
then pack into jars to within 1/4 inch of top. Put on cap screw band firmly tight. Process in boiling water bath 10 minutes.
