Raisin cookies
Yield: 1 Servings
Ingredients:
- 1 c Brown sugar
- 1 c Water
- 2 tb Shortening
- 1 c Raisins
- 1/2 ts Salt
- 1 ts Baking soda
- 1 ts Cinnamon
- 1 1/2 c Flour
- 1/2 ts Ginger
Instructions:
In a pot combine the sugar water raisins shortening & salt. Stir over a gentle heat until the sugar & shortening has melted. Raise heat & bring to a boil stirring continuously. Simmer for 1 minute. Remove from heat & cool. Sift dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add the cooled mixture & mix well. Drop by the teaspoonful onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes.
