Vegetable medley with sesame sauce
Yield: 8 Servings MMM
Ingredients:
- 1 c Onions thinly sliced
- 1 c Carrots thinly sliced
- 1 c Daikon radish thinly sliced
- 4 c Broccoli florets
- 4 c Cauliflower florets
- 2 c Cabbage chopped
- 2 tb Sesame seeds MMMMM------------------------SESAME SAUCE-----------------------------
- 1 tb Toasted sesame oil
- 2 tb Tamari
- 1 tb Brown rice vinegar
Instructions:
MEDLEY: Steam vegetables until they are tender-crisp (5 minutes). Plunge into cold water to stop cooking & drain well. Transfer to a serving bowl & set aside. Roast sesame seeds in a small skillet over medium heat until lightly browned about 5 minutes. Set aside. SAUCE: Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Pour over the vegetables & toss to coat. Sprinkle with the roasted seeds & serve. Vegetarian Gourmet Winter 1995
