Pythagoras' Theorem




<mathematics> The theorem of geometry, named after Pythagoras, of Samos, Ionia, stating that, for a right-angled triangle, the square on the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares on the other two sides.

The square on a side means the square of the length of that side.
