rapid application development which generates code from graphical business process models.
Formerly called Information Engineering Facility (IEF) and produced by
Texas Instruments, it was then bought by
Sterling Software, Inc. who renamed it to COOL:Gen to fit into their COOL line of products.
Computer Associates International, Inc. then acquired
Sterling Software, Inc., and renamed the tool "Advantage Gen".
In 2003, CA are supporting Advantage Gen and adding support for
J2EE/
EJB, enhanced web enablement,
Web services, and .Net.
